This page explains what Black Eagle Ranch collects through this website, why, and who sees it. Effective .
What we collect
When you send a reservation request, we collect your name, email address and phone number, the dates you'd like, the size of your party, the species you're interested in, any notes you add, and how you found us (the website or search engine that sent you and the first page you visited). If you call or email us, we keep what you tell us so we can arrange your hunt.
Why
We use your details to answer your request, arrange and confirm your hunt, and contact you about it. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who sees it
The ranch owners. Our website runs on Cloudflare, which stores reservation requests for us. Requests are emailed to the owners' own inboxes, and confirmations are emailed to you, through our email provider, Resend. If we offer card payments online in the future, they will be handled by Stripe; your card number goes to Stripe and never reaches us. Like any web host, Cloudflare also handles technical data such as your IP address to deliver the site and keep out spam.
Cookies and analytics
The public website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We may use cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count visits. The owner portal sets one sign-in cookie, for ranch staff only. Your browser keeps a short note of how you found the site for the rest of your visit, and it is sent to us only if you send a reservation request.
Maps
The map on our Texas Hill Country page is served by Google, which may set its own cookies when it loads under Google's privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep reservation records for as long as we need them to run the ranch and keep proper business records.
