Questions
Do I need a hunting license to hunt exotics in Texas?
Yes. Texas requires a valid hunting license to hunt exotic animals, even on private land. You can buy one online from Texas Parks & Wildlife or at most sporting goods stores before your trip.
Can I hunt exotics year-round in Texas?
Yes. Exotic species in Texas are not bound by state seasons, and Black Eagle Ranch hunts year-round. The only days we do not hunt are Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Native whitetail follow Texas seasons.
How does booking work?
Request your dates online or call Daniel or Todd. A deposit secures your hunt, and the balance is due when your hunt is complete.
Can I bring someone who isn't hunting?
Yes. Non-hunting guests are $150 per day. Let us know how many are coming when you reserve.
What should I bring?
Your Texas hunting license, ID, your rifle or bow if you prefer your own (we can provide one), and your own food unless your hunt includes meals.
How far is Black Eagle Ranch from San Antonio and Austin?
The ranch is in Harper, about 1 hr 45 min from San Antonio and about 2 hours from Austin. That makes it an easy trip for a weekend hunt.
Reserve your date.
Only eight hunters a day, and the rarest animals go first.
