About the Springbok
The springbok is a small, quick gazelle with a cinnamon back, a dark side stripe, and a white face. When excited it "pronks," bouncing straight up with all four legs stiff and its back arched.
It is South Africa's national animal and a prized small trophy for any African collection.
Hunting Springbok at Black Eagle Ranch
Springbok like open country, and the ranch's wildflower meadows and pastures are where they spend their time. They are small targets at distance, so this is a hunt for a steady rest and a well-zeroed rifle.
A good ram shows thick horns that hook in at the tips.
