About the Nile Lechwe
Mature Nile lechwe rams turn a deep chocolate brown with a bright white patch across the shoulders and long, sweeping lyre-shaped horns. Ewes stay golden and hornless.
In the wild, Nile lechwe live in the swamps of the Sudd in South Sudan and are endangered. Few hunters anywhere have the chance to take one.
Hunting Nile Lechwe at Black Eagle Ranch
Lechwe are built for water and wet ground and stay close to it. Look for a dark, fully colored ram with long horns that sweep back and up.
