About the Blackbuck

Mature blackbuck males turn nearly black with a bright white belly and eye rings, and they grow corkscrew horns that can reach past 20 inches. They are among the fastest animals in the world and can top 50 mph.

Blackbuck were brought to Texas in the 1930s, and the Hill Country now holds one of the biggest populations outside India.
